Lutsk: presentation of the social project "Holy week"
Today on the Theatre square was held a presentation of social, creative, interactive project "Holy week" that was initiated by the artist Tatiana Malkowski with the assistance of Luts'k city Council. The project is interesting because its implementation was attended by about 1,000 residents of different ages and social status. It's face from three to 103 years old: pupils of preschool educational institutions, schools and gymnasiums, students of VNU. City mayor Mykola Romaniuk thanked everyone who made drawings, of which are Easter eggs. “These works make us think of the essence of our being. Want to see our city have more of these artistic projects. Want over our city, Ukraine was clean and peaceful sky, people were happy,” he said. The artist Tatiana Malkowski told me that she managed to bring this interesting idea on the help of volunteers — Maria Oliveros, Marianne Kovalchuk, Vladimir Popik, eve Kononova. She, along with volunteers during lectures and told about the theological significance of Easter and folk traditions associated with this great holiday. “I wanted people consciously set about creating Easter eggs. We try to disclose the essence of the Resurrection, because now she is lost. For example, most children Easter is associated with Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies. And spiritual Foundation, deep traditions are being lost, and this is very disappointing,” said the artist. On plastic figures, which consist of eggs, depicted churches, Easter baskets, candles, flowers, willow twigs, children, houses, everything that reflects the essence of our being.
