In 36 settlements of the region will host more than a hundred mass actions devoted to Day of memory and reconciliation and the Victory Day over Nazism in World war II. According to GU the National police in the Zhytomyr region, during these days the police have taken additional measures to ensure public security and the prevention, detection and suppression of offenses. May 8, the vast majority of mass events will be held in the regional center, where there will be laying flowers at military cemeteries and funeral prayers for the defenders of the Fatherland. May 9 mass events are scheduled in 29 settlements, participation in which will accept about 19 thousand people. On this day, law enforcement will carry out almost 550 police officers.
