Chernivtsi will have open access to archival information of the repressive bodies of the Communist regime
the Commission on identification of information in the archives of the repressive bodies of the Communist totalitarian regime in the archive Department of the Chernivtsi city Council created by order of the mayor Alexei Kaspruk. The Commission, headed by Deputy mayor Alexander paskar, includes officials from the archival Department of city Council, lawyers. Archival Department will carry out the identification of funds, which may contain information of the repressive bodies of the Communist totalitarian regime and begin work on the availability and condition of Affairs, which contain the above information. On the official web portal of Chernivtsi city Council will create a separate heading "Access to archival information of the repressive bodies of the Communist totalitarian regime". The law of Ukraine "On access to the archives of repressive bodies of the Communist totalitarian regime 1917-1991" was adopted in April 2015.
