Europe day in Lutsk began with "European Olympic games 2016"
"European Olympic games in 2016" - a knowledge contest about Europe and the European Union, which is held in the framework of Europe Day in Lutsk. The event is organized by the office of international cooperation and project activities Department of education of Lutsk city Council. This year the competition involved 46 participants, 25 of them Jewish schoolchildren and 21 participants — students of the twin cities from the Republic of Poland (Warsaw, Torun, Zamosc, Chelm, Lublin) and of the Republic of Lithuania (Kaunas and taurag?). Olympics lasted from 10.00 to 11.00 hours. where the students performed the task in English. The contest results will be announced at 15.30 hours. on the stage of Europe Day in the European village in the Park of culture and rest named after Lesya Ukrainka, where all participants will receive gifts, and the winners - valuable prizes. City mayor Mykola Romaniuk welcomed the guests and participants of the "European Olympiad in 2016." He thanked the presidents and mayors of sister cities for what they made possible, so that children came to participate in the contest. “It is good that we, as government, can do everything that young people had the opportunity to meet with Lutsk, with their peers,” - said Mykola Romaniuk. “Ukraine, having chosen the course of European integration, makes and will make steps forward towards its goal,” he said.
