One of the main priorities of Sergei Cherniavsky mentioned the preparation and participation of athletes, which are part of national teams of Ukraine in European and world Championships, the Olympics and other international competitions. In particular, the official said that the national team of Ukraine in summer Olympic sports in 2015, the enrollment was 201 of Vinnitsa, including: basic composition – 75, candidates – 65, reserve – 61 persons. For non-Olympic sports – 221 athletes, including 100 – basic composition, 59 candidates, 62 - reserve. Leading athletes of the region were paid 21 scholarship regional state administration and regional Council in the amount of 18800 USD per month. Sergei Cherniavsky noted that the management pays great attention to training high-class athletes: "In 2015, trained 45 masters of sports of Ukraine, 7 IAS international class and 1 honoured master of sports of Ukraine. In the Ukrainian League they have won 235 medals of various denominations, including 114 gold, 72 silver and 49 bronze, and at competitions of the international level of 85 medals, including 35 gold, 23 silver and 27 bronze",- he said.
