Vinnitsa region is a powerful region of Ukraine for the production of horticultural products in the processing and growing of planting material of fruit and berry crops. This was announced by first Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Andriy Gyzhko during the regional Forum on the theme: "Development of horticulture and berries farming in Vinnitsa region" at the Institute of forages and agriculture of NAAS. The event was attended by Director of Department of agroindustrial development of regional state administration Mykola Neily, horticultural managers of agricultural enterprises, the specialists of the Corporation "Vinnytsiasadvinprom", representatives of Derzeitiger in Vinnytsia region and representatives of the horticulture and berries farming region. "Vinnichchina is 50% of the total horticulture of Ukraine, so such a forum is necessary, because this is where you can discuss all topical issues with industry experts. Our work should be aimed at improving the horticultural industry in Vinnytsia region, in order to be able to expand exports of goods abroad and to seek new international partners. Over the last three years, Vinnitsa region is not only a leader in terms of gross collecting of fruit and berry crops, but also a leader in the creation of new gardens. Thus, due to the horticultural industry creates new jobs - 100 jobs per 1 thousand hectares," - said Andrey Geico. During the open forum of industry experts discussed the prospects of gardening in Vinnytsia region, legislative provision of land use for perennial crops, certification and confirmation of quality fruit production, water supply region, the state and the need for financial security. "The farmers of the area grow quality products, so our challenge is the search for new markets. Pressing issue remains the algorithm of saving space, its improvement, so that products could be offered to international partners," - said the official.
