The luck: competitions in sport orienteering "VOLF CUP 2016"
FROM 20 to 22 may in the forests tracts Harazdzha, Vorotniv and in Park 900th anniversary of Lutsk (R-n city hospital) was held the open competitions on sports orientation "VOLF CUP 2016". The event was organized by activists of orienteering in conjunction with the orienteering Federation of Volyn region, with the support of the Committee for physical culture and sports Lutsk city Council with the purpose of development and popularization of sports orienteering as an effective means of increasing the role of physical culture and sports, promoting healthy lifestyle, enhancing physical activity of residents of the city and region. Orienteering is a sport in which the competitor with the sports map and compass should as soon as possible to cover the distance and find a certain number of points, which are located on the ground control points. The participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in orienteering at distances of competition in a given direction. All the competition over three days was attended by about 300 athletes from the city of Lutsk, Kyiv, Volyn, Kyiv, Rivne, Zhytomyr regions. On the first day of the competition, the athletes overcame the middle-distance in a wooded area near the village of Harazdzha. The second day of competition was held in the forest of the village Vorotniv long distance. The final day in the city of Lutsk in the Park of the 900 anniversary of the city of Lutsk on the sprint. The competition was held in eight age groups, separately for men and women. After three days of competition the winners were: Elena Luchko, Kulakevich Victoria Beatr, Pisarchuk Daria, Christina Miller, Irina Zinchuk, wojtowicz Irina, Tatiana Trofimchuk, Yuri Chernyak, Patuca Maxim, Petrochuk Denis, Dmitry Tymoshchuk, Skin Arthur, Petrochuk Dmitry Mikhailichenko Alexander. Winners and prize-winners of competitions were awarded by diplomas, cups and medals from the organizers of the competition.
