In Zhytomyr discussed the situation on the roads and ways to increase security
Yesterday, may 25, in the small hall of the Zhytomyr regional state administration held a meeting of the regional Commission for road safety under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Igor Gundicha. The meeting was attended by the heads of the regions, representatives of regulatory authorities and structural subdivisions of the RSA. The discussion involved questions about the results of implementation of state control on road transport control Ukrtransstroi in Zhytomyr region in 2016, the state of accidents in passenger and commercial cargo vehicles in 4 months of 2016, the results of state control over the haulers, improve anti-terrorist protection of bus stations, bus stations, train stations, public transport and transport infrastructure in the area etc. In January-April of 2016 on the roads of Zhytomyr region was 275 accident, 55 people were killed. Among the most frequent causes of car driving in an alcohol intoxication and violation of traffic rules. So, police officers (except patrol) in Zhytomyr region this year was recorded 1511 violations. Addressing the audience, Igor Gundich said: "road Safety is one of the most important issues in Ukraine. To check, issue writs, fines, but it is not the result. You need to do everything in our power to prevent road accidents. To fix the bump stops to clear the roadside from the bushes and trees – it can be done without great cost."
