More than 180 kg of amber was seized in Rivne region during a joint operation by prosecutors and the SBU
law Enforcement authorities continue to oppose the illegal operations with amber on the territory of Rivne region. In particular, the result of the joint activities the prosecutors of Rivne region and of management of SB of Ukraine in the Rovno area 26.05.2016, during the authorized searches, found and seized from the premises 2 residents of Volodymyrets district of more than 180 kg of processed and raw amber of different fractions, monetary values, as well as weapons and ammunition. Now the value of the seized "sun" of the stone is determined by the experts. - These investigative actions are carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings, it investigate the investigators of the security Service of Ukraine under articles 198, 240 of UK of Ukraine, that is, on the facts of the purchase, receipt, storage or sale of property obtained by crime, illegal mining of national importance, - said the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region Andrey Borovik. Also, the Prosecutor noted that in the framework of the criminal proceedings, the procedural guide in which performed by Prosecutor's office of Rivne region, according to the results conducted in April-may 2016 the searches police seized a total of about 700 kg of amber.
