Meeting with representatives of tourist business in Vinnytsia region (photo)

02 June 2016 Department of international cooperation and regional development of the regional state administration chaired by the Director of the Department Volodymyr Merezhko, together with the Director of KP "Institute of urban development" Vladislav Skolskim a meeting was held to identify potential tourist sites of the region, which can attract inbound tourists, particularly from the Republic of Poland. A working meeting was held with the participation of heads and representatives of structural divisions of the regional state administration, Vinnytsia city Council, KP "Airport Vinnitsa", sanatorium-and-Spa institutions, museums, rural tourism, resorts and travel agencies. In the beginning of the meeting Volodymyr Merezhko informed those present about the results of the work of the Department of international cooperation and regional development of the regional state administration in the field of tourism and underlined the importance of cooperation between the authorities and the tourist business of the region. During the event, discussed the problems of the tourism industry and ways of its further development. The Director of KP "Institute of urban development" Vladislav Skalsky informed about the tourism development strategy of the city of Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region as a single region. Jaroslav Mazurets Director KP "Airport Vinnitsa" told about the opening in June of this year, new regular flights to Warsaw, tel Aviv and Charter in Antalya (Turkey). This institution is a powerful impetus to the development of the tourism region. Also, there was a discussion of the definition and investigation of potentially attractive tourist objects for tourists from the Republic of Poland. The meeting offered a new vision of tourism development of the region. Summing up, Volodymyr Merezhko said: "Working together in a new format, We will be able to achieve success in the development of the tourism industry in the region". Vinnitsa region has all the prerequisites for intensive development of domestic and foreign tourism: geographical position and relief, favourable climate, richness in natural, historical, cultural and tourist-recreational potential, that the effective use of this potential will stimulate economic activity, development of small and medium-sized businesses, will create jobs in various sectors of the economy of the region, and the like.
