In the Ternopil region held the first pilgrimage of professional journalists

More than fifty journalists of local and national mass media took part in professional pilgrimages to zarvanytsia spiritual center in the village of Zarvanytsia. The event was timed to the Day of the journalist, which is celebrated in Ukraine on June 6. Pilgrims began the Hierarchal divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Zarvanitsya Mother of God, headed by Bishop Theodore (Martyniuk), Bishop-assistant of Ternopil-Zborowski. "Many people think that your profession is a very comfortable, interesting and gives a lot of privileges, - said during the sermon the Bishop. – However, journalism is not a profession but vocation. During the events on Maidan and in the area of the ATO killed many of your colleagues. They fulfilled their calling. So during this trip we pray for their souls". Pilgrimage participants had the opportunity to talk with the Lord, to discuss various pressing issues encountered during the work. "Freedom is God's great gift to man - said the Bishop-assistant. – Therefore it is very important to feel truly free from someone WH. And this freedom is inseparably linked with our relationship with God," emphasized Bishop Theodore during a spiritual conversation. Then the participants of pilgrimage near the stele Heroes hundreds of Heaven prayed a memorial service for those killed on the Maidan and in the area of the ATO journalists. For peace and tranquility in Ukraine prayed journalists of a copy of the Miraculous icon in the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity and the Holy virgin.
