Agrarians of Ternopil taught to control the safety of food products in
Our country has a competitive advantage in the agricultural sector of business, but this potential is not fully implemented. For entering new markets, including international, must meet EU requirements. This was stated by first Deputy Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Ivan Krysak during the workshop "New food law. Tasks, responsibilities and new opportunities for market operators. Practical aspects of implementation of procedures based on HACCP principles". This event took place on 7 June in the Main Department of agro-industrial development of the Ternopil regional state administration in the framework of the project of the European Union. During the workshop participants identified relevant issues, including the development, implementation and functioning of quality management systems in enterprises of food and processing industry of the region. The purpose of this Project is to control the food safety in Ukraine according to the principle "from field to table". As well as the compliance of Ukrainian legislation to the practical experience of the EU. Last year came into force the Law of Ukraine "On main principles and requirements for safety and quality of food", which new reglamentary rules on the implementation of security and separate indicators of food quality. Currently, only about 20 % of the enterprises food and processing industry operate on the principles of the system of analysis of hazards and critical control points (HACCP), and in the current year, the agriculture Ministry spends in the corresponding regions of the training that teaches the practical aspects of the implementation of the system. Reference: In the Ternopil region the certificate for HACCP system received PJSC "Ternopil dairy factory". The requirements of the HACCP system confirmed the activity of DP Star Ukraine Skala (Borshchiv district, Ternopil region).
