In the Rivne region rescuers conducted educational excursion for children of school camp of the summer vacation
7 June to tour pageno rescue unit of the village. Demydivka visited the kids school summer camp recreation “rainbow”. Young guests showed rescuers fire truck, and special fire-technical equipment used during incident and emergency events. Everyone had the opportunity to try on protective clothing for firefighters and to sit behind the wheel of the fire truck. In addition, students had the opportunity looked into the classroom where firefighters daily increase their professional skills. During the meeting the children asked rescuers a lot of questions about the features of service. Firefighters, in turn, gladly provided them with reasonable and satisfactory answers. In conclusion, the children were shown how to properly use a fire extinguisher and on what phones to go in case of danger. Rescuers believe that such excursions allow to expand representations of kids about the work of the staff of the state service for emergency situations to foster respect and interest in the profession of the rescuer. However, during such communication, the children consolidate their knowledge on the basics of safe living and learning how to act in different emergency situations.
