The tree turns yellow, sheds bark and dries. After that, the pests move to a healthy pine. The wood of the tree is not suitable for construction or furniture, it's covered in holes and contaminated with fungus. The only method of struggle – sanitary felling, when entirely cut out the infected area. Left with only deciduous trees. But Christina Yushkevich noted that the amendments to the Sanitary rules in forests of Ukraine, which will address the limitations of clear sanitary felling exceptionally obvious cases of natural disaster, for example, windbreaks, windbreaks, mass desiccation. They will be applied only if necessary and no alternative action, in other cases it will be banned. "Only in cases when it is impossible to fight pests with biological means will be applied for clear sanitary felling. In other cases, such deforestation is resolved. The state forestry Agency is seriously committed to improve the rules of sanitary and recreational activities in the forests to prevent any abuses," said Christina Yushkevich. In recent years, a pine tree planted next to deciduous tree species. It reduces the risks of infection. Foresters also assure that on-site sanitary felling in the course of the year new saplings are planted. This was reported in the Zhytomyr regional state administration
