In Lutsk will host the EU Sustainable Energy Week — 2016
From 12 to 17 June in our city will last the European Sustainable Energy Week in 2016. The event is organized by Association “energy Efficient cities of Ukraine”, Lutsk city Council and Volyn regional state administration in cooperation with the EU delegation in Ukraine, international and Ukrainian partners. June 12, at 12 o'clock on the Theatre square will be held the official opening event with the participation of representatives of Central Executive authorities, regional and city authorities, diplomatic missions, donor agencies and international organizations, public associations and other Ukrainian cities. During the week of planned events aimed at raising awareness of citizens in matters of conservation and efficient use of energy resources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and climate protection, the use of alternative energy sources and measures that will show the city's achievements in implementing the action Plans on sustainable energy development. At Theater square will be an exhibition of manufacturers of energy saving equipment, installed information kiosks on the promotion of savings, which will be thematic consultations will be held velokvest on the theme of energy efficiency, drawing on asphalt “Clean energy-clean future”, ecovative, master-class on making a solar collector, the energy hackathon, art plein air, and the like. For students of secondary schools will be organized a brain-ring, ecoquest. Monday, June 13, will be held the X international conference of the Association “energy Efficient cities of Ukraine” on the theme “Covenant of mayors: new horizons and opportunities”. The event will last two days. In its framework, will discuss the challenges for the production of energy reforms in Ukraine, power, and network partnerships to strengthen the Covenant of mayors, programmes and projects to support the Covenant of mayors 2020-2030, exterior lighting and renovation: contemporary practice and prospects, the residential sector is a key element in the successful implementation of the Covenant of mayors, improving the level of civil society participation in the Covenant of Mayors. Participation in the conference will be attended by representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, delegation of European Union to Ukraine, the Saee, the project GIZ "energy Efficiency in communities", a project of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) energy Efficiency in housing sector of Ukraine", USAID project "Municipal energy reform in Ukraine", the EU project "Covenant of Mayors-East II", the Nordic environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO), the Ukrainian cities - signatories of the Covenant of Mayors and members of the Association "energy Efficient cities of Ukraine", as well as practicing experts and consultants.
