In Zhytomyr English children learn from foreign volunteers.
June 14, Deniska SOSH im. V. G. Bondarchuk, the Chairman of regional state administration Sergey Mashkovsky was found with foreign volunteers in the program GoÑamps teach children a foreign language. More than 260 students of Zhytomyr region visited 6 school camp with profound studying of English language. Camp GoÑamps work within the proclaimed Year of English in Ukraine and were selected according to several criteria among comprehensive schools across the country. Feature of the camp GoÑamps is that teachers are foreigners in the form of games teach students the language. The main objective of the project is to show children that learning languages is easy and simple. What summer camp can be fun, entertaining and bright. — The Chairman of regional state administration Sergey Mashkovsky notes that in the Zhytomyr region in about 70% of the schools have summer camps, including 6 – with enhanced studying of the English: "450 secondary educational institutions of the region work camps, which are visited more than 12 thousand students. These children will receive a new and unforgettable experience learning English at school, and at summer camp, combining leisure, learning and communication. I am grateful to the volunteers because they joined the project GoCamps, which opened before our Zhitomirskii students new perspectives and opportunities." — According to him, the English language is the link that connects us with Europe: "Education in the camps comes in the form of games, children interesting and fun to learn a foreign language. From the government we will support such projects. It's not a desire but a necessity of our modern society".
