In the Volyn oblast Prosecutor's office is appealing the sentence to the culprit
Lutsk the local Prosecutor's office will seek harsher penalties for the men who in the evening of 22 December 2011 on the road "ustilug-Lutsk-Exactly" in the village Okhotin made arrival on the minor girl. Driving a technically perfect car, 27-year-old at the time, the driver did not take measures to avoid a collision with a pedestrian. In the accident, 16-year-old victim who evening bus back from the training and crossed the road, heading home, suffered serious injuries. During pre-trial investigation and in court the man his guilt was not recognized. Lutsk city district court, finding him guilty of violating the rules of traffic safety by a person driving the vehicle that caused the victim grievous bodily harm (a criminal offense under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal code of Ukraine), was appointed to it punishment in the form of 4 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right of management by vehicles for a period of 3 years. The Prosecutor's office will appeal the sentence in connection’connection with the discrepancy of the appointed punishment to the severity of the criminal offense and the person accused.
