Talking to everyone who came to honor memory of heroes, the mother of Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Mayboroda Tetyana Ivanivna noted that the heroism of the pilots saved the lives of crew members and civilians. "Our sons gave their lives for the lives of others. Plane driven by my son was struck by a missile, but Dima and assistant crew commander Dmitry Bastard to the last held the helm to take away from the densely populated villages of Novosvitlivka and Davydo-mykil's'ke.
