Region discussed the programme for early support for parents of children with down syndrome (photo)
June 22, in the walls of the Vinnytsia oblast universal scientific library. K. A. Timiryazev was held a round table entitled "Discussion of early support parents and children with down syndrome. Real inclusion. Methods for its implementation", which was organized by the public organization "Vinnitsa Down Syndrome". Note that the Vinnitsa regional public organisation of parents of children with down Syndrome "Vinnitsa Down Syndrome" conducts systematic work to support families with children with this syndrome, to provide them with legal, pedagogical, methodical, psychological, medical, humanitarian, informational and other assistance, as well as in the socialization and adaptation of children with special needs, to a full life in society. The round table was attended by representatives of the structural subdivisions of regional state administration, local authorities, local governments, medical institutions of the city and region, the public and the media. Addressed the issues of comprehensive support for families in which the child was born with down Syndrome, removal of the primary stress of the parents, their support in the early stages starting from birth and methodological support of the special literature for a better understanding of the characteristics of such, as well as the actual implementation professional consulting services and comprehensive assistance to those with children with special needs, inclusive of training and education. The participants believe that addressing such a complex problem is possible only under condition of Association of efforts of parents, the public and public authorities dealing with issues of people with special needs.
