Sergey Nadal: "Local communities should receive more financial resources"

On this day, the heads of municipalities are working in three strategic groups: “Resources”, “Social services”, “Service”. A meeting of the group “Resources” was moderated by the mayor of Ternopil, Chairman of the Committee of the Association of cities of Ukraine on issues of budget policy Serhiy Nadal. As part of the strategic discussion, the experts of the Center for analysis and drafting legislation, ASU has submitted a draft sector strategies: “Local Finance and tax”, “Earth, municipal property”, “Local economic development and urban planning". As noted by the city Chairman of Ternopil, experts raised a number of problematic aspects of decentralization that need to be addressed at the state level. "Financial flows, rational approaches to the use of municipal property and land resources, the attractiveness of the settlement for investment projects, this greatly affects the quality of life of our citizens and the investment attractiveness. in these areas the Association of cities there are more questions than answers, - said Sergey Nadal. – that is why we need to earn the necessary legislative changes. First of all it concerns the strengthening of financial viability, financial resources of local communities that will enable to solve the problems that exist in our cities”.
