In Zhytomyr discussed issues of improving the system of controlling food safety
Training seminar to improve the system of controlling food safety takes place today, July 1, in Zhytomyr. The event is held with the assistance of the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine and the Department of agricultural development of regional state administration in the framework of the international project "improving the system of controlling food safety in Ukraine". The project aims to promote food safety in Ukraine "from farm to fork" by aligning Ukrainian legislation, institutional infrastructure and the system of state control in compliance with the policies and practices of the EU. The workshop started with presentations of the main provisions of the legislation on food safety and compliance with sanitary and phytosanitary measures. The event takes place in the dialogue of speakers with representatives of the enterprises. His knowledge shared the chief specialist of Department of technology of food production the Department of food of Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine Marina Glukhova, Deputy head of agricultural development headquarters of Zhytomyr regional state administration Nina Dobrinskaya and experts of the EU project. Nina Dobrynska noted that the implementation of the EU project "Improvement of food safety in Ukraine" in Zhytomyr is very important, because this sector accounts for a third of the region's economy. The project includes three components: institutional reform and state control; veterinary and food safety; information systems and data management.
