In luck — seminar on energy efficiency
In the Palace of culture of the city of Lutsk hosted a seminar on the implementation mechanisms for energy services in the public sector. The seminar was held in cooperation with the Volyn regional state administration. The participants of the event were Deputy Director of Department of strategic development of Saee Igor horovi, head of housing and communal services of Volyn regional state administration Andriy Pie, head of Department for energy efficiency Department of economic policy of Lutsk city Council Konstantin Patrakeev, the representative of KP “Kiosko” Vladislav Pavelyev, as well as representatives of the budgetary sphere of luck. With a salutatory word to participants addressed head of the energy saving Department of Lutsk city Council Konstantin Patrakov. He noted the importance of such meetings and seminars for each Ukrainian city and Lutsk particular, as rapidly rising energy prices. The head of housing and utilities of Volyn regional state administration Andriy Pie noted that the issue of energy conservation is the question of the independence of our country. Budget institutions and utilities are very energy intensive. According to him, Donetsk oblast pays for gas every year 1 billion 200 million UAH for electricity and 900 million USD. Therefore, the reduction of energy consumption will result in substantial cost savings. Deputy Director of strategic development Department of Saee Igor horovi called Lutsk - one of the leading in Ukraine by implementing energy efficiency measures, which later successfully spread to other regions of the state. Therefore application of the mechanism of energy service (ESCO) in the budget of buildings and establishments of Lutsk will be economically feasible and will not only save energy, but to replenish the local budget. Kiev has signed a Memorandum of intention of local authorities to implement the ESCO mechanism in the public sector and became the 4 a city that takes such a seminar. Constantine Patrakov stressed that this mechanism will attract potential investors for implementation of energy saving measures. In turn, the representative of KP “Kiev ESCO Vladislav Pavelyev noted that the payment of utility tariffs for budget institutions is a heavy burden for local budgets.
