In the Volyn region launched criminal proceedings against the employee of the Lviv customs DFS
the Prosecutor's office of Volyn region performs procedural management of pre-trial investigation initiated in the investigation Department of financial investigations GU DFS in the field of criminal proceedings against the chief state inspector of one of customs posts of Lviv customs office of the SFS. It is established that the customs officer, using his official position contrary to interests of service, with the aim of obtaining unlawful benefit for himself or third parties contributed to the illegal movement across the customs border of Ukraine with concealment from customs control of highly liquid inventory items without payment of customs and tax payments that caused substantial harm to legally protected state interests. The actions of officials are qualified under part 1 of article 364 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Note that in the Commission of customs criminal offence punishable up to 3 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years.
