The Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region conducted a special operation on identification of corrupt
the Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region together with the Department for the protection of the economy in the Vinnytsia oblast Department of protection of economy of the National police of Ukraine and the Main Department of the National police in Vinnytsia region in the framework of the pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings against extortion by officials Ladyzhyn penitentiary ¹ 39 improper benefits from convicted prisoners serving sentences and their families, on the grounds of criminal offense under part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine, conducted 12 simultaneous searches to detect evidence of illegal activity of employees of the institution. The currently ongoing pre-trial investigation aimed at about’objectively establishing the circumstances of the criminal offense, carry out all necessary investigative (search) actions. For the specified criminal offense provided for punishment by deprivation of liberty for a term of n’five to ten years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years, with confiscation of property.
