The success of Lutsk rowers
1 to 5 July in the city of Kovel was held open championship of Ukraine among young men and girls 2000-2001 and 2002-2003, n. n. in rowing and Canoeing. The competition was presented a record number of participants (615 people) from 24 regions of Ukraine and with the presence of foreign representative offices of the Republic of Poland. The team from the town of Lutsk was represented by pupils of the regional specialized children and youth sports school of Olympic reserve “the Olympus” (Lutsk). Eight athletes from Lutsk joined the team of Volyn region. The best results among the Lutsk athletes have achieved: Vadim Magerko: K-1 (canoe single) 3,000 m 3rd place K-1 500 m 4th place K-1 1000 m 5 place (the trainer-teacher Klimova L. M); Stanislav Melnichuk and Alexander Chernyaev: C-2 (canoe deuce) 5000 m 1st place, K-2 1000 m 2, K-2 500 m 2 place (coaches, teachers, Shevchenko Y., Mohametan A. T., Mohametan A. S.); Kristina Alekseenko and Olga Demchyn: K-2 500 m 6 place (TREN. Shevchenko T. Y., Mohametan A. T., Mohametan A. S.).
