Rivne oblast: rescuers urge citizens to prevent fires!
This year in Ukraine increased the number of fires in natural ecosystems. One of the main causes of such fires is the burning of dead wood and of residues, careless handling of fire and arson. Only for last days in natural ecosystems arose 88 fires of them: in the open area — 78, forests — 9, peat — 1. At SV’'yazku with increasing temperature and the content of the hot weather in the country, exacerbated the situation with fires in peatlands. So on July 11 firefighters eliminated peat’Ian fire in the Khmelnitsky region on the area of about 0.1 ha. For elimination of a fire involved 10 rescuers and 2 units of equipment. Fires on peatlands, tend to cause considerable public outcry, and their suppression has a long-term nature and requires significant financial and human resources. That is why the State service of Ukraine for emergency situations once again calls upon you, dear citizens, to strictly observe the rules of fire safety in close proximity to forested areas and in open areas. To avoid fires in the ecosystems, observe the following rules: - do not plant a fire in the forest; - do not throw cigarette butts on the ground, especially where there is a dry litter; - do not leave soaked with flammable rags; - don't create a dump in the woods and in adjacent areas, especially not incinerate them.
