In the premises of Vinnytsia regional state administration held a seminar on experience exchange on the topic: "Best practices in local government in the sphere of energy saving and energy efficiency". The event was held in the framework of the Council of Europe Programme "Decentralization and territorial consolidation in Ukraine" in cooperation with the Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine, Vinnytsia city Council and the Vinnytsia oblast Council. The seminar was attended by RSA Chairman Valery Cow, the Chairman of Vinnytsia city Council Sergiy Morgunov, Chairman of the Ukrainian Association of village and settlement councils Mykola Fursenko, the Manager of the Council of Europe Programme "Decentralization and territorial consolidation in Ukraine" Andriy Guk, experts of the Council of Europe, representatives of local authorities and village presidents in Vinnytsia region. Welcoming speech Valery Cow said: "in front of the regional administration has clearly defined tasks, which need to work constantly. First and foremost is the provision of population with quality raw material, as this fact affects the energy efficiency of the region", - said the official. During the seminar, participants exchanged experience on issues of innovation, energy conservation, energy conservation policy and implementation of complex thermal modernization of educational institutions. According to Sergey Morgunov, the issue of energy efficiency is a priority activity of local authorities, because this will give the opportunity to use the savings on other needs of the population in Vinnytsia region. "To achieve independence in energy efficiency area, you need to introduce new technologies and to seek new approaches," - said the official.
