The Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region exposed by a lawyer,who received illegal benefits.
The investigative Department of Prosecutor's office of area together with Department of protection of the economy in the Vinnytsia oblast Department of protection of economy of the National police of Ukraine in the framework of the pre-trial investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of extortion and receiving improper benefits counsel for the penalty in favor of the person from whom demanded money, on the grounds of criminal offense under part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine, in order St. 208 criminal procedure code of Ukraine detained the lawyer and carried out 2 searches to find evidence. During a pretrial investigation it is established that the lawyer nominated party on the transfer of the illegal benefit in the amount of about 5000 USD, for further disbursement to the judges for a decision on the appeal of the latter. Investigators and staff of the Department for the protection of the economy in Vinnytsia region documented the receipt of the agreed illegal benefit in the amount of $ 1,000. Later, the lawyer received a portion of the specified unlawful benefit in the amount of 2 000 US dollars, after which it was exposed. This person 16.07.2016 is reported about suspicion in Commission of the criminal offense under part 5 article 27, part 3 St. 368 criminal code of Ukraine, and on the same day it elected a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest. Currently full, comprehensive and impartial pre-trial investigation aimed at about’objectively establishing the circumstances of the criminal offense, carry out all necessary investigative (search) actions. Investigators checked the involvement of other persons to commit this criminal offense, including judges. For the committed criminal offense provided for punishment by deprivation of liberty for a term of n’five to ten years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term up to three years, with confiscation of property.
