In Vinnytsia oblast “Phone Scam” will be punished
the Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region has repeatedly drawn the attention of the residents of Vinnytsia region to be vigilant and not to be deceived, so swannie, "phone scams" that are every time up with new ways of misappropriation of funds of citizens. So, the next group "telephone attackers" who deceived the inhabitants of haysyn district of Vinnytsia region more than 100 thousand hryvnias, will have to answer in court for their actions. In particular, the Prosecutor's office sent to court the indictment concerning two inhabitants of Vinnytsia region who are using methods of psychological pressure, night-time forced people to remit money to “rescue” the relatives who allegedly got into trouble. In the course of implementation of pre-judicial investigation it is established that such persons only in November – December 2015 through the implementation of calls to the citizens at night, posing as law enforcement officials, who allegedly detained their relatives, they committed fraud against seven residents of the city of Gaisin in the amount of 125 thousand hryvnias. The indictment against two persons sent to the court on the grounds of crime under part 2 St. 190 criminal code of Ukraine. Trial they expect under house arrest. The Prosecutor's office of Vinnytsia region once again stresses the need for area residents to be cautious and careful of such phone calls. Advanced: part 2, article 190 of the criminal code of Ukraine - fraud, perfect repeatedly or on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, or such that caused significant damage to the victim, - shall be punished by a fine of p'fifty to one hundred untaxed minimum incomes, or correctional labor for a term of one to two years, or restraint of liberty for a term up to n'five years, or by deprivation of liberty for a term up to three years.
