Chernivtsi: 13 children-orphans and children deprived of parental care brought up in foster care
Service for children Chernivtsi city Council constantly works on timely identification of children left without parental care, providing them with the status of orphan or child deprived of parental care, and their family forms of upbringing. In July 2016 the employees of the Service carried out 5 raids together with employees of Shevchenkovsky police station. On the order of Chernivtsi mayor "to establish a working group to study the question concerning prevention of alcohol consumption by minors and the preparation of an action plan on this issue", a service for children established a working group developed and approved a plan of measures to prevent alcohol consumption by minors. For the protection of housing and property rights of persons from among children-orphans and children deprived of parental care worker at the children centre and social services for family, children and youth check the condition and inventory of premises belonging on the right of use or ownership of the above-mentioned categories of persons. So, for the month of July 2016 staff is composed of 35 of the acts of inspection of living conditions. Each child has available their own living space, a separate bed, a place for storage of personal items, education, recreation. Currently in foster care and the orphanage of family type, which operate in the city, brought up 13 orphans and children deprived of parental care. The parents-educators and foster parents also receive a monthly cash allowance and social assistance for children of inmates, foster children in accordance with current legislation.
