Vinnytsia public organization of young people with disabilities "Harmony" presented a new project "Accessibility for all", which is implemented with the support of Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration. The project "Accessibility for all" is aimed at promoting in society the concept of the universal person's access to facilities and services, as well as articles of the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. The project was produced 5 informational videos "Accessibility and universal design", show spheres of life of society, which are important for accessibility, and also what needs to be accessibility for people who get around using wheelchairs, with impaired vision and hearing. "Accessibility is not only the presence of the ramp, as some people think. This is a complex: architecture, information availability, appropriate scope of services for persons with disabilities", – told the Chairman of public organization "Harmony" Raisa Panasyuk. "Accessibility for all" resonates with another project "Harmony" that is called "Mad traveler", which created an eponymous club. The participants have the opportunity to travel the historical and cultural places of Podolia and monitor on its way to the accessibility of establishments (cafes, gas stations, etc.). "Harmony" has become one of the 12 NGOs - the winners of the competition to determine the programs developed by institutions of civil society, which provides financial support in 2016 at the expense of means of the regional budget", – noted the Director of Department of information activities and public relations of the regional state administration Svetlana Vasilyuk. The team that worked on creating commercials, sought to show that the problem of availability of Vinnytsia region and Ukraine in General, applies not only to people with disabilities, but also of every citizen. In the framework of the project "Accessibility for all" held regional competition "the Establishment of friendly people" with the aim of identifying the most "affordable" places of the region. The winners will be awarded a special diploma "Citizens recommend". "Will take into account not only the criteria of architectural or technical accessibility, but also provide services to the institution, the ratio of staff to visitors and others", – said Raisa Panasyuk. "We must not forget that accessibility is profitable. So comfortable establishment attracts more customers, clients money, and the money – profit of the owner of an institution", she added. Read more about the project can be found on the official web page of the public organization "Harmony" (http://harmonia.co.ua). This was reported in the Vinnytsia regional state administration
