The producers of counterfeit goods in Volhynia seized illegal products worth 1 million UAH.
At the initiative of Prosecutor's office of Volyn region in the framework of investigation of criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal manufacture, possession, importation into Ukraine with the aim of using while selling goods, and sales of illegally manufactured and counterfeit brands of a duty prosecutors together with employees of Department of protection of the economy in the Volyn region Department of protection of economy of the National police in the region on the territory of Lutsk, Rozhischensky and Manevychi district was conducted court-mandated searches of dwellings, outbuildings, and warehouses, belonging to the citizens, who were engaged in illegal activities. During the searches, found and seized more than 5 thousand liters of wine, 1800 liters of alcohol, 732 L. alcoholic products, empty containers and equipment for manufacturing of counterfeit goods, and a large number of excise stamps. The approximate cost of the seized goods amounts to almost UAH 1 million. Pre-judicial investigation proceeds. Resolved issues of bringing guilty persons to the responsibility established by law.
