In the engineering industry in the Ternopil region has a growth of 9.9%, in particular, in the first half of 2016 made 51.3% more lamps and lighting equipment than the same period last year. In the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products is also increasing volumes by 8.1% and manufacture of textiles, clothing, leather etc increased by 4.7%. In January-may 2016 volume of industrial products sold in the Ternopil region amounted to 5.5 billion hryvnia, which is by 34.8% more compared to the corresponding period in 2015. Since the global economic crisis of 2008-2009, the Ukrainian economy survived on agriculture. The volume of its production in 2015 exceeded in the whole country index of 2007 by 43%.
