In the engineering industry in the Ternopil region has a growth of 9.9%, in particular, in the first half of 2016 made 51.3% more lamps and lighting equipment than the same period last year. In the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products is also increasing volumes by 8.1% and manufacture of textiles, clothing, leather etc increased by 4.7%. In January-may 2016 volume of industrial products sold in the Ternopil region amounted to 5.5 billion hryvnia, which is by 34.8% more compared to the corresponding period in 2015. Since the global economic crisis of 2008-2009, the Ukrainian economy survived on agriculture. The volume of its production in 2015 exceeded in the whole country index of 2007 by 43%. However, the Ternopil region was among the areas where the growth rate of the agricultural sector was higher than average in Ukraine, showing a growth of 38.4 per cent. At the same time, in Transcarpathia the increase from 2007 was only 8.5%, in Lviv region is 19.5%, Chernivtsi - 22,5%, Rivne 25.1 percent, the Kiev - 26,7%, Volyn - 27,2%, Ivano-Frankivsk, at 27.3%. According to the Department of agricultural development of the Ternopil regional state administration was particularly successful in the region is growing.
