In Zhytomyr researched food products on the content of cesium

during the first half of 2016, the specialists of the laboratory of electromagnetic fields and other physical factors of the Zhytomyr regional laboratory center of the Ministry of health of Ukraine carried out 1213 laboratory-instrumental measurements of cs-137 (cesium) in food products. Exceeding the acceptable levels identified in 29 samples, representing 2.4 per cent. Non-compliance for this indicator, detected in 7 samples of mushrooms in Malinska, 2 samples in Korosten and 1 sample in Olevsk districts. Exceeding the permissible levels of 137Cs in meat were revealed in 10 samples in Malin and in 2 samples in the Korosten area. Minor exceedances were determined in medicinal raw materials (5,3%), milk (2.9%) and fruits (2.6 percent). To prevent consumption of contaminated foodstuffs to the population recommended: – buy products in organized markets and in the trading network, which guarantees the product quality by the radiation factor; This was reported in the Zhytomyr regional state administration
