Thus, only for last week was eliminated 1 145 thousand fires in natural ecosystems over a total area of 946 hectares. In particular, forests – 49 fires in the area of 52.6 ha, peatlands-16 fires on the area of 14 hectares on farmland – 39 fires in the area of 76.2 per ha, on open terrain (grass, trash, etc) – 1 thousand 41 the fire on the area 803,4 ha. In General, since the beginning of the year has already recorded 11 799 thousand of such fires on the area of 10 thousand 198 hectares, of which forest – 545 fires in the area 805,7 ha, peatlands-112 fires on the area of 47 hectares, farmland – 285 fires in the area of 1 thousand 52 ha of open terrain (grass, trash, etc) – 10 857 thousand fires on the area of 8 thousand hectares. 293 Basically, the main reasons of emergence of fires in natural ecosystems is the burning of dry vegetation, violations of citizens fire safety rules during carrying out agricultural works on their own private land, stay in the forests and peatlands. Fires in ecosystems can have negative consequences not only for the environment but also for people: the fire could spread to buildings, destroying power lines, gas and oil pipelines, forestry plantations. So, dear citizens! The state service of Ukraine of emergencies urges You to strictly observe the rules of fire safety and not to provoke fires in natural ecosystems.
