State archive of Zhytomyr region showed the history of the formation of Ukraine's independence.

August 19, in the premises of the State archives of Zhytomyr region opened an exhibition of archival documents on the occasion of 25-anniversary of independence of Ukraine. Watched the exhibition, Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Laguta. — Addressing the audience, Yaroslav Laguta said: "unfortunately, 25 years ago, we apparently were not aware that independence was given to us quite easily, with one stroke of the pen. In recent years, we are convinced that nothing is easy for freedom, independence, liberty must be fought. But we all understand that independence is not born even in 25 years. It was the result of a centuries-old aspirations of the Ukrainian people to independently restore order in your home. I wish all the bitter world, that we proudly could celebrate the unity and independence of our state". The exhibition recreates the history of the state and of the struggle for independence of Ukraine, covers the events in Ukraine during the revolution of Dignity of 2013-2014 and present. The period of revival of the Ukrainian state (1917-1920) marked the emergence of a significant number of constitutional and legal acts, which provided for the organization of state power in Ukraine. In particular, the exhibition placed copies of the four Universals of the Ukrainian Central Rada, Rada the Law "On national-personal autonomy", "On state language in Ukraine", "On the state emblem of Ukraine in 1918. The Central place in the exposition is documents on obtaining eternal dream of the Ukrainian people – the proclamation of Ukraine's Independence.
