In luck for the 14th time, solemnly opened the international festival “Poliske summer with folklore”
After a gap of four years, our city has begun XIV international festival “Poliske summer with folklore”. For four days, citizens and guests have the opportunity to learn the culture of different countries of the world. The luck came folk groups from Israel, Georgia, Cyprus, Poland, South Korea, Taiwan, Belarus and different regions of Ukraine. Also during the festival, their skills will show the groups from different parts of the Volyn region. At the Holy Trinity Cathedral held a special service to mark the start of the luck of the XIV International festival “Poliske summer with folklore”. Then, the participants in national costumes with flags of their countries in a festive procession accompanied by music marched through the streets of Lesja Ukrainka – Bratkovsky to the Castle square. The Grand opening of the festival took place in Lutsk castle. In the official opening ceremony was attended by city mayor Mykola Romaniuk and Deputy Andrew Kish. “ we are already in 14th time gathered in the walls of Lutsk castle in order to start magnificent. This action of friendship, mutual understanding, mutual respect, mutual support, because the culture is almost the first stage, when people meet and get to know each other. here are the different countries and cultures, and it is very good. I want to wish all participants and guests to enjoy the festival,” said the mayor. He also noted that now over the Lutsk the sun shines and peaceful sky, but in the East of Ukraine there is a war, killed the guys who protect us and urged the attendees with a moment of silence to honor the memory of fallen soldiers. After the welcoming words of Nicholas Romaniuk declared the festival open. The good news sang the bells, and soared into the sky balloons with symbols of the festival.
