In Ternopil held the world championship for water-motor sport

Over two days - 27 and 28 August on the Ternopil pond hosted the world championship for water-motor sports. To the competition in Ternopil came 35 participants from 12 countries. The mayor Sergey Nadal thanked the Federation of water-motor sport of Ukraine and its President Viktor Shemchuk, the International water-motor Union for providing Ternopil right to host such competitions. “ I want to thank all the participants who came to the city. Hopefully in the next 2017 such contests again will be held in Ternopil", - said the head of Ternopil. The President of the National Federation of water-motor sport of Ukraine Victor Shemchuk remembered that the first world championship for water-motor sport took place in Ternopil in 1987. And 2011 this tradition in the city is gradually recovering. So, the world champion in the class F 500 was a Lithuanian Glbsu Sobakasu, European champion in the 125 class F - pole Henryk Sinorock, in class F 250 was won by the representative of Germany Massimo Rossi.
