In Chernigov arrived Peace Corps volunteers USA
24 September until 5 December in Chernihiv will be volunteers from the US Peace Corps. The program "community Development" operates in Ukraine for more than 20 years, this year it will represent 40 Americans from different States. Representatives of the US Peace Corps in the Chernigov city Council met the Deputy mayor Olga Honch and head of Department of education of the Chernihiv city Council Vasily Bloguri. They briefed the guests about the main directions of development of Chernihiv and the education sector of the city. The Americans more than 2 months will pass practice and to teach English pupils and students of secondary and higher educational institutions of the city. During this time volunteers will live in Ukrainian families, to improve their knowledge of the Ukrainian language and to get acquainted with local traditions and way of life. Olga Honch expressed hope for fruitful results of cooperation, and wished the American volunteers of vivid impressions and pleasant stay in Chernigov.
