In Rivne region held a seminar on Executive activities of prosecutors to eliminate the negative consequences caused by the offences of corruption
In the prosecution of Rivne region held a training seminar on the theme "Organization of activity of the Prosecutor's claims for damages and eliminate other negative effects caused by corruption offenses". The event was attended by the prosecutors of the region, heads of local Prosecutor's offices, their first deputies and deputies, the prosecutors of local Prosecutor's offices and divisions that these public Prosecutor's offices, which according to distribution of duties carry out representation in courts. The seminar was opened by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region Alexander Voronin. He stressed that one of the effective ways of dealing with breaches of the legislation remains representative activities of the Prosecutor's office and appeal to court with claims about compensation of the harm caused by the criminal offence is of great importance to eliminate its consequences and restore in this way the violated rights of citizens, interests of the state. Given this, prosecutors focused on the need for effective Executive action to improve the state of law in the region. As noted on the seminar, during 2016, the prosecutors of Rivne region declared claims in court about compensation of nearly 300 thousand UAH of damage caused by criminal offences, including signs of corruption. Already, the courts granted claims for the sum more than 260 thousand UAH. With educational lectures to those present was the Deputy chief of Department of Prosecutor's office of area Andrey Gritsak, prosecutors of divisions of regional Prosecutor's office Inna Kovalchuk, Vasyl Danley. The participants familiarized with the main aspects of legal regulation of activity in criminal and administrative proceedings, preparation of claims for compensation of damages caused by the violations, including signs of corruption. They also highlighted the main sources of information that grounds for the application of Executive powers in the Commission of crimes, and also discussed practice of consideration by courts of cases in this category. Head of representative office of interests of citizen or state in court of Prosecutor's office of area Lyudmila sunder elaborated on the discussion of individual faults that can occur in the work of the Prosecutor in that direction. Thanks to the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to increase skill level, to share experience and improve the approach to work on issues of Executive activities.
