In the Ternopil region in the regional state administration discussed the issues of railway transportation

During 2016 in the suburban message in the Ternopil region were transported preferential categories of citizens in the amount of 9.3 million. This was announced during a meeting on the settlement of problematic issues in rail transport. "As of October 1, are registered in the Unified state automated register of persons entitled to benefits, in the Ternopil region is 270 867 individuals who are eligible for benefits, - said the Director of the Department of social protection of population of regional state administration Vadim Boyarsky. - Currently in the field of passenger transport situation in transportation of preferential categories of citizens, because the State budget of Ukraine for 2016 was not provided funds to reimburse costs associated with transportation of preferential categories of persons in the area. To ensure the stable operation of the carriers and to prevent social tension among the population of the regional state administration sent a letter to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a proposal to introduce targeted payments to individuals entitled to benefits for these services, whose income does not exceed the subsistence minimum by 2016". In addition, the regional administration sent letters to the chairmen of RSA, Berezhany, Kremenetski, Ternopil and Chortkiv city councils, to the presidents of the United territorial communities to provide funds to local budgets on granting privileges on services of communication, other statutory benefits. "Now the budgets of Berezhany, Zboriv, Kozelskuyu Ternopil RSA, Kremenetskiy and Chortkiv city councils, Bilovezka of the United territorial community provided funds for reimbursement for travel in urban and suburban transport in the amount of 2759,9 thousand UAH. Also vchodove Kremenetski and Cortico city councils and 384.8 thousand UAH." - said Vadim Boyarsky. First Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Ivan Krysak stressed that as a result of decentralization, increased revenues to local budgets. Therefore, the seats have the ability to reimburse the funds for transportation of beneficiaries. "The power of doing everything to resolve this issue. We have repeatedly appealed to the Central government with proposals to introduce targeted assistance to beneficiaries. While this is not yet implemented", - stated Ivan Krysak. According to the results of the meeting decided to send letters to the WGA and the local authorities with a proposal to revise the budgets and carry out its obligations to refund for reduced fare.
