Ukraine will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the reformation

The purpose of the event was the recognition of the significant contribution of the Protestant churches and religious organizations in the development of religious, cultural and social spheres of Ukraine, respect for their role in Ukrainian history and the formation of an independent state. In particular, in October 2017, in Kiev, planned to hold festive events on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the reformation. Thus, Poroshenko supported the initiative of the Ukrainian Council of churches is "to demonstrate the position of power to support the Protestant religious organizations."
