Chernivtsi: the approach of the new epidemic season of INFLUENZA and ARVI
With the approach of the new epidemic season of influenza and SARS 2016-2017 the health Department of the city Council, medical and preventive institutions of the city held appropriate organizational measures. 27.09.2016 doctors of medical institutions of the city participated in the seminar on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of influenza and acute respiratory infections. Conducted a review of the order MZ of Ukraine from 06.11.2015 ¹732 "On approval of normative legal acts on issues of organization and holding of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread of influenza and acute respiratory infections", the training of medical personnel for the collection and delivery to the Virology laboratory of clinical material from patients with influenza and SARS. With the aim of organizing and conducting surveillance for influenza and acute respiratory infections, since 01.10.2016 (40 week of the year) introduced weekly informing management of medical institutions regarding the status of influenza and SARS. Each health care facility created a stock of disinfectants of the new generation, which are allowed for use in Ukraine supply of personal protective equipment. According to the forecast of the Ukrainian center for control and monitoring of diseases based on the who recommendations, in season 2016-2017 in Ukraine is expected circulation of several influenza virus strains: A/California/7/2009(H1N1), A/Hong Kong/4801/2014(H3N2) and B/Brisbane/60/2008, which may join and/Phuket/3073/2013. None of these strains of influenza is not new, they have previously circulated in Ukraine, but the danger increases their simultaneous appearance. The only salvation not from the flu, then at least from its deadly consequences is vaccination. The decision of the session of the Chernivtsi city Council from 28.01.2016 allocated 568,6 thousand, 100 thousand t in g.. for the purchase of influenza vaccines for risk groups, 460 thousand of medicines for emergency care, 8,6 thousand for the purchase of oximeters. In the epidemic season 2016-2017 in the incidence of influenza and SARS medical institutions ready to provide necessary medical care.
