Law enforcement authorities in Vinnytsia region continue to struggle with illegal logging
law Enforcement authorities in Vinnytsia region continue to identify and prevent corruption the facts of illegal logging. Therefore, in the territory of Zhmerinka district stopped the car ZIL 131, in which the body is discovered more than 7 cubic meters of round wood ash. Relevant documents timber with a driver provided. On the specified fact initiated criminal proceedings on signs of the crime provided by article 246 of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Procedural management is performed by actual local Prosecutor's office. Now pre-judicial investigation proceeds, measures are taken for establishment of circumstances of illegal logging and export wood from the territory of forestry. In General, according to the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations during the year, the region accounted for 89 of the crimes provided for by article 246 of the criminal code of Ukraine (illegal cutting of forests), and 19 crimes in the field of service activities, the floor’connected with forest resources under articles 191, 364 criminal code of Ukraine. In the investigative units of law enforcement bodies of the region is 105 criminal proceedings on the illegal felling of forests, of which 96 – investigated the territorial investigative departments of the National police in region 8-investigation Department of GUNP in the field and 1-of the investigative Department of USBU in area.
