2nd Orthodox youth festival of spiritual and Patriotic songs was held in Vinnitsa (video)

16 October at the House of officers of the Vinnitsa garrison held the 2nd Orthodox youth festival of spiritual and Patriotic songs organized by Vinnytsia diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. In his introductory remarks, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and bar, on the initiative of which in 2015 the first festival, said that its main objective is the revival among the youth of the Ukrainian national and spiritual traditions, patriotism and love of country. At the beginning of the festival the Chairman of the charity Fund "Peacemaker" Elena Verlan thanked his Eminence and the clergy of the diocese for systematic help to ATO soldiers and residents of the East of the country and also handed over awards "For service to God and Ukraine," the clergy of the diocese of Vinnytsia O. Kuznetsov, Anatoly, and. Alexey Volkov and Secretary of the diocesan office of the archdeacon Vladislav Demchenko. Under the terms of the festival, each group presented to the audience and the jury of three works: the liturgical chant, a spiritual of Kant and a theme song about parent's house. The festival was attended by 26 choirs and groups from the diocese of Vinnytsia, each of which demonstrate a high level of vocal art, created an atmosphere of uplift. At the end of the competition, the jury appreciated the spiritual richness and fullness of the repertoire of most of the participants, determined the winners and awarded diplomas and gifts. In addition, the Bishop's awards were given to teams comprised of the youngest participants of the festival male choir of S. I-Beam bar district, which gathered the most applause of the audience. The winner of the festival for the second consecutive year was the youth-children's choir of Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Vinnytsia.
