Lutsk: city Council representatives participated in a focus group "Development of open data at the local level,"
13 October in Kyiv State Agency for e-governance of Ukraine was held a focus group for "the Development of open data at the local level." Given the results of the publication of open data, state open data portal data.gov.ua the fact that the state of development of open data at the local level is insufficient, such an event was very useful for representatives of local authorities. In particular, the meeting was attended by representatives of Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lutsk city councils. The latter was represented by the head of Department Nadezhda Bortnik and Deputy head of the Department of software and computer software Natalia Hops. Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for electronic governance of Ukraine Alexey Vyskov outlined the main ways of development of open data stressed the importance of political will for the development of open data, the possibilities of standardization decisions in this area, and the identification of priority datasets. An important event is the accession of Ukraine to the International Charter for open data and what open data can be used by business and public organizations to create new innovative solutions in all spheres of life. On the use of open data by public organizations, said the representative of the civic network "OPORA" Hope Babinski. She stressed the importance of the use of certain formats of open data, which would give the opportunity to use them in the future for the construction of electronic services, to carry out monitoring and various research. In the modern world of open data is not only a tool for increasing transparency and efficiency of public authorities, but also a powerful source for the promotion and development of the economy. For us, open data open new perspectives in the management of cities, introduction of innovative approaches in public administration and in the economy.
