Chernigov: a Grant program to improve the quality of life for former victims of national socialism

Department of economic development of the regional state administration announces Grant program to support projects to improve the quality of life of former victims of national socialism. The Foundation "remembrance, responsibility and future" (Germany), in cooperation with all-Ukrainian charitable organization "Care for the elderly in Ukraine" announces the ninth competition of projects in the framework of a humanitarian support program "the Venue - dialogue". The overall objective of the support programme is to improve the quality of life for former victims of national socialism. Nonprofit organizations attract active community members to support victims of national socialism and ensure the effectiveness and regularity of support provided. Different generations getting to know each other in a dialogue, people base their relations on principles of mutual aid and mutual responsibility. Representatives of the main Clevo groups receive practical support that helps them live longer independent lives in a home environment. The state and the citizens pay tribute to the life experiences and achievements of people who have suffered from national socialism, and create favorable conditions for their life. Target corpse: The main target group (JTG): people who have suffered from national - socialist regime: former prisoners of concentration camps and ghettos, former forced workers, Soviet POWs and others. Projects should engage the mobile people, and also people who are not able to leave his room. Elderly people, born before 09 may 1945, and people of other generations to be involved in joint activities in the framework of the projects. What projects may be granted funds? In the framework of projects funded by various activities, which will contribute to improving the quality of life of the victims of national socialism. The project may include one or more of the following areas: Organization "meeting place" for communication; Interest classes (welcome joint activity of people of different ages); Group Wellness classes, activities for a healthy lifestyle; Tours, affordable travel, walking; Measures to improve the mobility of those who are not able to get out of the house (support); Practical help the task force in everyday life by volunteers; Regular visits to disabled members clovo group home; Involvement in educational activities and dissemination of experience; The organization of the volunteer assistance to the target group, which includes the preparation and support of volunteers; Working with families of immobile people with Clevo group, for example, providing them with psychological and training support; Protection and advocacy of the interests of the victims of national socialism; The involvement of representatives of target groups to the activities of civil society organizations and/or solutions to the problems of society; Other (other innovative areas of cultural, educational and socalo activities). Who can apply? To participate in the Contest invited non-profit organizations (among them: private, government, municipal, public, religious, etc.), check and act in Ukraine. State and municipal organizations unable to participate in the competition only in partnership with community organizations, and if the planned project activity goes beyond the current activities of the organization and is not funded from the budget. Partnerships should begin at the design stage of the project. In this case, the application shall be accompanied by a copy of the partnership agreement of intent joint implementation of the project. Encouraged project administration youth organizations in partnership with non-governmental organisations of older people. Funding Projects can be scheduled for up to two years. Depending on the amount, duration and scope of the project funding can range from 5,000 to 20,000 euros per year. Individual assistance for victims of national socialism (for example, hygiene for immobile, etc.) may be funded for certain conditions in a limited volume. The procedure for submitting applications and making decisions thereon For an application for grant funds needed in the period from 03 Oct 2016 to 30 November 2016 to provide to the Central office of all-Ukrainian charitable organization "Care for the elderly in Ukraine" the application in the prescribed form. These forms are available online on the website www.tlu.org.ua or on the program website www.mestovstrechi.info The competition from the organization cannot be awarded more than one project proposal. Until the completed and signed form application must include an official head of the organization certificate of the state registration of the legal person, the Charter, the certificate about registering of payer of taxes. If necessary the Organizer has the right to require the submission of additional documents, including a set of financial statements (the balance sheet) for 2014 with a mark of tax body. Applications and all required documents must be submitted not later than 17 hours 30 November 2016 by mail or in person at the address below. The application must be signed by authorized representative of the applicant organization and stamped by the organization. Please do not collate the document and not filed them in folders. The project is considering an application by an independent international jury. Based on his recommendations, the decision to grant funds is made by the Board of the German Foundation EVZ "remembrance, responsibility and future". About the decision on the project Aplet informs the Organizer of the Program; in case of rejection of the project explanation is not provided. Organizations whose projects were recommended by the jury for funding will receive written recommendations for improvement of applications. If the organization cannot/do not want to modify the application in accordance with the recommendations of the Jury, the financial support is not available.
