On the region suspend work of the branch of state enterprise "Ukrmednet"
to Suspend the activities of the Ternopil branch of the state enterprise "Ukrmednet", located in the village of Ostrov, Ternopil district, decided in a meeting of the State extraordinary antiepizootic Commission at the Ternopil regional state administration. Residents of the region are concerned about the environmental situation in the enterprise. The plant accepts for processing the by-products of animal origin categories II and III (corpses, bones, bonshek waste and the like), but do not have time to process them. In spite of this, continues to receive animal waste and saves them under the open sky. Residents of nearby communities complain of the stench and potential danger to their health and seek to restore order. Antiepizootic Commission unanimously supported the decision to suspend the activities of the enterprise as well as submit a written appeal to the leadership of the State enterprise "Ukrmednet" on the resumption of funding of the Ternopil branch of the SE "Ukrmednet" in order to clear out the by-products of animal origin. Also, there is an urgent need to recycle all the waste accumulated on the premises. "We do this to prevent environmental threats for the environment, and also to relieve the tension in the region. In General, the situation requires a solution across the state at the legislative level. Then we will prepare a corresponding written application to the Prime Minister," concluded the first Deputy Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Ivan Krysak.
