Ternopil regional branch of Fund of social protection of the disabled – 25!
For twenty-five years of activity of the Ternopil regional branch of Fund of social protection of disabled persons, aimed to assist and support people with disabilities to realize their potential and ability to stay in the community and have an adequate standard of living. Analysis of job retention for people with disabilities, employers, Ternopil region, confirms the dynamic increase in the number of disabled workers. More than 7.5 thousand workers are disabled, to exercise their right to work, respectively to four percent of the norm. The number of employers who have plans for the employment of disabled people is more than seventy percent of the number registered. For non-standard workplaces for disabled people, employers of Ternopil region annually pay to the State budget more than one million hryvnias. Regional branch of Fund provides funding for "Social, labour and professional rehabilitation, the costs of establishment of the National centre of Paralympic and Deaflympic training and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and the Western rehabilitation and sports center", "Financial support of public organizations of invalids and veterans of the event with a visit to war graves and military monuments and the perpetuation of Victory in great Patriotic war of 1941-1945" and "Sanatorium-resort rehabilitation of the disabled". For the past five years, the regional office provided financial assistance to children with disabilities for payment of educational services by more than 606 thousand UAH. implemented subscription of periodicals invalids I AND II group in the amount of 33.5 thousand UAH. on physical culture and sports rehabilitation of disabled persons are allocated funds in the amount of 530 thousand UAH. paid compensation of cost of sanatorium-resort treatment of more than 770 thousand. Been funded in the amount of 306 thousand UAH. complex prosthesis for the invalids of the region. Every year since 1994, in the Ternopil region, a festival for children with special needs "Believe in yourself". During this period it was attended by more than seventeen thousand gifted children. Ternopil regional branch of Fund of social protection of persons with disabilities promotes the organization and conduct of the festival. Provides festival participants with gifts, prizes, awards. Festival "Believe in yourself" helps children with special needs to feel needed, to believe in their own capabilities. At the initiative of the regional branch of the Fund and the local TV channel TTB created a constant transfer of "Hope Is". The participants of this show are people who are overcoming health problems, overcome the bitterness of fate and live a full life.
