The international organization IREX announced a tender in 12 cities of Ukraine to participate in the program Polis (Police and Community), which is part of the project "public Involvement in the reforms." To participate were invited libraries, public organizations, co-working centres, cultural and youth platforms that seek to join the development of responsible cooperation between the society and police for the safety and development of their cities. A project implemented by the international research and exchanges Board (IREX) in partnership with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the International organization for development law (IDLO) with the financial support of Department law enforcement Affairs (INL) of the U.S. Embassy. Chernihiv city library of centralized library system participated in this project. The winners are: Central city library named after N. Kotsyubynsky and libraries for children, city centralized library system. The programme aims to build a fruitful cooperation between the police and those for whom it works and whom it protects, in particular, through the organization of meetings of representatives of the local police and to the public at libraries and other public platforms.
